We loved Bruno’s place. Him and his wife met us upon arrival with some rum punch! The house was amazing, built by Bruno himself. We stayed 5 nights over new years and had such a great time. It is easy to say that this has been the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. I’ll certainly my be back.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Black Pearl very much! It was our first trip with our one year old daughter and while the place is not completely baby friendly, Bruno and Sylvia went above and beyond to accommodate my whole family. From the car seat to the pool toys and the dog Merlot, our little loved her island vacation. Bruno & Sylvia were kind, helpful and wonderful people to get to know. As far as the house, it came with a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and high end fridge, good working a/c, hot water, and of course, absolutely amazing views. Definitely recommend staying at Black Pearl if you are thinking of Rodney Bay, St Lucia

Amazing hosts and an amazing house. Please know that this house is open so you are greeted with birds and geckos inside sometimes but this only adds to the experience. Words can’t really describe the views, the people or the amazing hosts. It’s something you just have to experience yourself. We will be back.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Black Pearl Villa - our wonderful hosts Bruno and Sylvia, the stunning views and sustainable feel of the place, and everything else you need to immerse in a unique island experience, surrounded by nature but having all the amenities and comfort that we could think of! We loved trying all the local fruit, learning about all the trees growing on the property, enjoying the birds' company at breakfast, and listening to the frog chorus at night. The place is designed with so much thought, meaning, and appreciation of local flora and fauna, it is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay there and explore the island. We will miss this incredible view, hope to return one day!

Our stay at Black Pearl Estate was absolutely lovely and lived up to all the reviews! Bruno and Sylvia are the most amazing hosts!! We were greated with homemade fishcakes and delicious rum punch! The villa is beautiful and the view is absolutely unbeatable, such amazing sunsets and incredible to wake up to! We had everything we needed and more, Aircon, lots of cooking equipment and toiletries. The taxi service from Egbert and his Mother was great and nothing was too much trouble. A special mention to Merlot one of the five lovely dogs they have. We will definitely visit again ❤️

Such great hospitality! We were welcomed by Bruno & Sylvia with fantastic rum punch and delicious fish cakes in hand!! Having hosts next door was very helpful. They were never intrusive, only helpful when we had questions. The house is spectacular. The open air concept was accurate and greatly appreciated! We enjoyed the feel of nature inside and out. The frequent visits from the birds was fun. The mosquito netting around the beds was on point! Views from the house were stunning!!! The pool was a great asset when we wanted to just stay back and relax versus sightseeing. Bruno offered his Bluetooth speaker so we could enjoy some fun pool time. We really enjoyed having fresh fruit trees on the property. That was a nice touch as we don’t have such fruits back home. There were a few card games and music instruments which was yet another perk- if that’s something you enjoy. We feel blessed to have spent two weeks in what felt like nature with few walls.

Bruno and Sylvia are truly exceptional Airbnb hosts. Their spot offers an absolutely amazing view of Rodney Bay and the environs. They have created a special, thoughtfully designed, super comfortable oasis/heaven/paradise in St. Lucia. Brilliant kitchen, super comfortable beds, fantastic swimming pool, all kinds of fruit trees and the sweetest dogs -especially Merlot-- to make the place truly feel like a spot you never want to leave! TAKE ADVANTAGE of his taxi transport-- we accidentally didn't coming in and realize how great it was being taken care of by Egbert on the way out. Rental car delivery worked flawlessly. The description of the driveway and approaching road are accurate-- it is rough and bumpy so be prepared but it is well worth when you reach the top! Perfect vacation for our family! THANK YOU BRUNO AND SYLVIA-- from the Rum punch and fish cake greetings to the final farewell photo! It was an amazing trip.

The Black Pearl isn’t a sanitised, bland, hotel / resort. The ‘inside’ is very open to the outside: birds fly through the living space, geckos everywhere. But it is so shaded and airy you hardly need the mosquito nets or a/c. The whole space is designed with flair and love, and is just a joy to be in: watching the sunsets as the bats come out and the frogs start singing is a must. Part of the charm is that it’s a little weatherbeaten in places, but all the more comfortable for it (not least a very nicely equipped kitchen).

This is a truly wonderful, open, warm, and comfortable home. It’s is simply magical. All the touches from Bruno and Sylvia blend perfectly the beautiful views, the location, the pool, and the vibe that is St Lucia. It is an open and free flowing space that was perfect for our week long family stay. It was the high point of our visit and made for a week with our family that will be treasured by us for years to come. We hope to return here soon!

Words cannot describe the beauty of St. Lucia and wonderful people like Bruno only add to it. The Black Pearl Estate is like no place you’ll stay in. The fresh air is rejuvenating and the views are what you may see on postcards. Wonderful amenities, great proximity to the beach as well as restaurants or night life really made the Black Pearl Estate the perfect place for our party of four to stay. We were lucky enough to travel during Spring Break 2022 and stay with Bruno and Sylvie. It really was a treat to be greeted with Rum punch and fish cakes; they were delicious and it is nice to sit down a get oriented and relaxed. The place has an amazing view and is well worth the drive. The two main bedrooms open up to the pool and have nice large bathrooms. The open living upstairs is great and provides a feeling of being outdoors all the time; it keeps a perfect temperature as well. We loved living here and adventuring from such a beautiful property with a stunning view. Really loved talking to Sylvie about Saint Lucian life too!
